Symptoms
Some users have reported that when trying to launch Prospector via 3rd party system such as the Key, True Potential, Toolbox or Midas on Windows Vista, they get the following message;

“Disk or Network error. Unable to read the file PXIOPTS.XML”

Cause
The cause of this issue is still under investigation but has only been reported by users running the Windows Vista platforms.

Resolution
Our current investigations show this issue to be caused by an incompatibility with Prospector and an unidentified 3rd party application running on the same machine. We are continuing to investigate and hope to have a resolution shortly.
