Symptoms
When trying to launch prospector via a 3rd party system the following message appears

“Prospector is already running”

Cause
On Vista and Windows 7 machines the previous session of prospector has failed to end properly as the User Account Control (UAC) has prevented one of the processes from closing.

Resolution
To cure this issue right click on your Prospector desktop icon and choose “open file location/find target”, the Prospector root folder should open and the file TSSV2.exe should be highlighted, right click on the file and choose “Run as Administrator”. Prospector will launch, close the prospector and retry the launch via the 3rd party system.
