Symptoms
This error occurs when you try to run an update for the Prospector system.

Cause
The problem is with the language settings for the operating system, these should be set to UK/English throughout.

Resolution
To resolve this issue simply do the following:-
With Prospector closed click on the windows ‘Start’ button.

Select the Control panel.

Choose ‘Regional and Language Options'.

Check that each of the following areas are set to UK/English.

Standards and Formats (Regional Options tab).

Location (Regional Options tab).

Language for non-Unicode programs (Advanced tab).

Apply/OK the settings and retry the Prospector update .
