Symptoms
When updating the system may freeze at retrieving file manifest or the update may fail with the message failed retrieving file manifest. This is due to the system not allowing prospector update service to run automatically.
Error: File retrieval failed
Message: Failed retrieving master file list from server

Resolution
Please follow the steps below to resolve your issue. 1. Click on Start → All Programs → Trigold(Crystal) → Prospector →Tools Maintenance

2. This will open the maintenance tool. Right click on the Prospector data location and click on copy. Then Click on Start → Run, and then right click and paste into the text field and click Ok (Vista users paste into the Search field at the bottom of the Start menu). This will open the Prospector folder

3. Open the config.ini file (the icon is a white notepad with a yellow cog), look for a section that says [Download] underneath [Download] type the following:

useHTTP=True

Then close and save the file.

4. Now you will need to run an update by click on Start → All Programs → Trigold(Crystal) → Prospector → Online Update.
